06The DoorLIFT DL-6 system is engineered for roller doors up to 2700 mm (manufacturer spec). Available drive force tops out at 35 kg, so a taller door risks saturating the motor. For oversized boxes or trailers, the AluLIFT range offers factory-integrated custom heights. Total aluminium rail length is 3506 mm for a 2700 mm door — keep at least 92 cm of clearance behind the door.
SRCFR---Brochure-Doorlift-6.mdl.21 + l.742-744 + l.783
The DoorLIFT operates the door only when the force required to open or close it stays under 35 kg. Before installation, check the door opens and closes manually with comparable force in both directions. If it takes more force to open, increase balancer tension. If more to close, decrease tension. A poorly balanced door wears out the motor block prematurely.
SRCFR---Manuel-utilisateur-DL-6.mdl.387-394 + maintenance l.471-477
The DL-6 brochure quotes 195 mm/s no-load and 185 mm/s loaded. The user manual lists 185 mm/s as the nominal operational value. For a 2.5 m door, expect 13 to 14 seconds per full opening cycle. Speed is not adjustable — it is set by the bipolar DC motors and the 32V conversion in the control box.
SRCFR---Brochure-Doorlift-6.mdl.26-28 + l.745
The DL-6 brochure explicitly states 'silent operation (PIEK 60 dB(A) compliant)'. This unlocks usage in urban zones with night-time restrictions (typically 10 pm to 7 am). Note: perceived noise also depends on door condition itself (axle lubrication, roller state).
SRCFR - Brochure Doorlift 6.pdfl.section Caractéristiques
The DL-6 is a retrofit motorisation kit for any existing roller door — installable by a qualified bodybuilder. The AluLIFT is a full door system: modular aluminium panels, vertical and horizontal rails, centred balancer, integrated drive. The AluLIFT falls under Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and must be integrated by a trained, qualified bodybuilder, with a CE Declaration of Conformity for the final assembly. Motor, sensors and control box parts are common to both ranges.
SRCFR---Brochure-Doorlift-6.mdl.43-44 + Manuel-instruction-installation l.45-53
The DL-6 has an S3 20% intermittent duty cycle: 2 minutes of continuous use max, followed by 8 minutes of rest to dissipate motor heat. In practice, an open/close cycle lasts ~28 seconds for a 2.5 m door — well below the threshold. On a standard delivery round (40 cycles/day), the duty cycle is respected without precaution. Risk of exceeding only with intensive industrial use (testing, repeated loading).

Compatibilidad
04The DL-6 is designed as a universal retrofit (brochure: 'fits almost any roller door'). Three mandatory prerequisites: minimum 45 mm clearance between top panel and roof, balanced opening/closing force ≤ 35 kg, top panel rigid enough not to flex at end-of-travel. Plastic or wooden doors usually need top-panel reinforcement. For insulated boxes, plan a roof reinforcement before mounting the rail.
SRCFR---Notice-d-installation-DL-6.mdl.86-87, 122-123, 202-206
The AluLIFT is intended for light commercial vehicles, trucks and trailers with a cargo compartment, providing motorised cargo opening and closing. Two connection-plate variants are offered: insulated for refrigerated vehicles, standard for dry boxes. Operation is strictly limited to a stationary vehicle — driving with the door open is forbidden. Insulated trucks or trailers need a roof reinforcement before rail mounting.
SRCManuel-instruction-utilisation.mdl.98-105
The system requires a 12 or 24 V DC source rated for 65 A to absorb motor-startup peaks. The control box converts that voltage to 32 VDC ±10% to drive the two bipolar motors. Nominal running current: 5 A, with peaks up to 30 A. A 30 A fuse protects the battery cable. On trailers, plan an auxiliary supply so the system works tractor-disconnected.
SRCFR---Notice-d-installation-DL-6.mdl.89-92 + l.747-749, l.763-764
Minimum clearance between open door and roof is 45 mm — if not available, contact the supplier for a custom rail. Lengthwise, keep 700 mm clear behind the aluminium rail so the motor block can be removed at annual service. Minimum rail length needed: door height + 92 cm.

Instalación
03VanDOOR does not perform installation itself. AluLIFT integration must be carried out exclusively by qualified, trained bodybuilders or integrators, in accordance with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and best practice. The integrator guarantees regulatory compliance of the final assembly, verifies correct operation, commissions the system, and supplies the end user with the manual and CE Declaration of Conformity for the integrated equipment.
SRCManuel-instruction-installation.mdl.45-72
The technical documentation does not specify an official installation time. Workshop estimate: 4 to 8 hours for a trained bodybuilder, depending on body complexity (roof reinforcements, cable routing, existing balancer). Confirm with VanDOOR for an accurate quote.
Required tooling: flat and Phillips screwdrivers for cover and release-lever removal, 2 mm Allen key for the lock cable, 13 mm wrench for the connecting tie rod, quality cutting pliers for the stainless cable, locking pliers and two tommy bars to tension the AluLIFT balancer, drill plus bits, large-diameter countersunk rivets (head protrusion < 1.8 mm). For electronics: 12/24/32 VDC multimeter, 30 A fuses. Mandatory PPE: safety shoes, glasses, gloves, helmet.

Uso diario
07Up to 12 transmitters can be paired per system, identical on DL-6 and AluLIFT. Procedure: cut power, reconnect the battery cable, within 5 seconds press buttons 1 and 2 simultaneously to enter learning mode, then press any button on each remote to be paired. Any remote not included in this session is wiped. With no action for 5 s, learning mode exits automatically.
SRCFR---Manuel-utilisateur-DL-6.mdl.336-338
The FOB remote runs on an A23 dry-cell — 12 V, replace if range drops or the remote becomes intermittent. Replacement is scheduled at the annual service. Universal reference available in retail. No specific tooling required.

External release procedure: (1) insert the DoorLIFT key into the lock cylinder at the centre of the intermediate or top panel, outside face; (2) turn the key 90° clockwise and firmly pull the lock and cable out of the cylinder — the system disengages; (3) reinsert the cable and cylinder into the door lock housing, then operate the door by hand. On the AluLIFT, an internal release is available: pull the red sleeve marked 'EMERGENCY DOOR RELEASE' to disengage the motor lever from inside the box.
SRCFR---Manuel-utilisateur-DL-6.mdl.617-632 + utilisation l.420-449
Driving with the door open is strictly forbidden. It can place heavy loads on the system, damage the DoorLIFT, and cause accidents. The door must always be closed before departure. The manual also restricts use to a stationary vehicle. On the AluLIFT, the 'door open' output (wire 6) of the auxiliary harness can drive a cab buzzer to warn the driver.
SRCFR---Manuel-utilisateur-DL-6.mdl.93-95 + utilisation l.293-295
Pairing procedure: (1) unplug both the battery cable AND the motor profile cable; (2) reconnect only the battery cable — within 5 seconds, press buttons 1 and 2 simultaneously (open + close) → the system clears memory and enters learning mode (relay triggered); (3) within 5 s, press any button on each remote to pair (max 12); (4) wait 5 s with no action to exit learning mode; (5) once LED 1 is steady green, reconnect the profile cable. Any remote not included in this session is wiped.
SRCManuel-instruction-utilisation.mdl.366-402
The DoorLIFT DL-6 operating temperature range is -20°C to +70°C, with air humidity up to 80%. This covers nearly all European conditions, including continental winters and heatwave summers in closed cabins. For refrigerated vehicles, the AluLIFT offers an insulated door connection plate (motor-door part variant). For insulated trucks, plan a roof reinforcement before mounting the DoorLIFT rail.

Mantenimiento preventivo
05The official schedule mandates an inspection at 3 months (AluLIFT only), at 6 months (DL-6 and AluLIFT), and annually (both). Calculation basis: 40 cycles per day, 5 days per week — about 10,000 cycles/year. For heavier usage, scale inspection frequency accordingly. DoorLIFT service must always be performed alongside the door's own service. Time budget: 30 minutes for the half-yearly service, 60 minutes for the annual service.
SRCFR---Manuel-utilisateur-DL-6.mdl.426-432, 450-484
Never apply grease or oily product to the DoorLIFT system. Grease coats surfaces and attracts dust, dirt and salt — accelerating wear on pinions and guide blocks. Clean only with a damp cloth. Do not use volatile substances: static electricity can ignite them. However, do lubricate the hinge axles, drum bearings and balancer springs of the door itself (not the DoorLIFT). Also lubricate the emergency-release lock at every 3-month service.
SRCFR---Manuel-utilisateur-DL-6.mdl.105-108, 363-372
The four guiding blocks (ref. DL-8001254) must be replaced at every annual inspection. They are the highest-frequency consumable in the system — one system = four blocks per year. Replacement is explicitly listed in both ranges' maintenance schedules (DL-6 and AluLIFT). The part is common to both. Keep a few sets in stock at the workshop if you operate more than 5 equipped vehicles.
SRCFR---Manuel-utilisateur-DL-6.mdl.471-472 + maintenance l.425, l.585
The motor-unit must be replaced after 5 years or 160,000 cycles, whichever comes first. Verbatim source: VanDOOR AluLIFT maintenance manual v03-2026 §5.1 — “Replace the motor-unit after 5 years or 160.000 cycles”. On the basis of 40 cycles/day × 5 days/week (~10,000 cycles/year), 160,000 cycles equate to about 16 theoretical years — the 5-year threshold therefore becomes the limiting criterion at standard usage. At heavier usage, anticipate the replacement on the cycle counter.
SRCManuel-instruction-maintenance-AluLIFT_v03-2026.pdfl.§5.1 / p.11
A door balancer averages 15,000 to 25,000 cycles, i.e. 1.5 to 2 years at 40 cycles/day. The spring fatigues, the wire corrodes and loses effective diameter. Monitor it: if the door takes more force to open than to close, increase tension. If the reverse, reduce it. Past 2 years, schedule a preventive replacement — a spring breaking in service is dangerous and immobilises the vehicle.

03Both ranges integrate electronic anti-crush detection. On the AluLIFT, the manual states: 'the system detects the obstacle, stops, then re-opens slightly to prevent any serious accident'. Triggering relies on motor overload — over-current is signalled by the orange-steady LED 2 on the control box. The DL-6 brochure confirms 'electronic anti-crush on obstruction'. Recommendation: always keep the door in line of sight during operation.

The DL-6 carries the CE marking and is RoHS-compliant on its plastic parts (source: Doorlift 6 brochure). It is stated as PIEK 60 dB(A) compatible for urban night delivery. The AluLIFT falls under the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC (source: AluLIFT installation manual v03-2026 §2): VanDOOR supplies a CE Declaration of Conformity for the door as delivered, and the integrator issues the declaration for the integrated final assembly. Note: ECE R10 / FCC mentions sometimes cited internally are not present on the Doorlift 6 brochure read here — to be confirmed via the official datasheet for tender responses.

For AluLIFT operations, mandatory PPE includes: steel-toe safety shoes, protective glasses, protective gloves, helmet. Heavy load — two-person handling required. Documented hazards: electrical shock, back injury, high noise. Only persons aged 18 or above, duly trained and authorised, may work on the door. On the DL-6, requirements are less formalised but the qualified-personnel principle still applies.

Diagnóstico
03The control box carries two diagnostic LEDs. Key states: LED 1 steady green = power OK, system idle; LED 1 green flashing at 1 Hz = running; LED 1 red flashing = supply too low (check battery and cable); LED 1 off = no power (check 30 A fuse). LED 2 orange flashing = signal received OK; LED 2 orange steady = motor overload or obstruction; LED 2 red steady = cycle-time overrun (weak motor or sensor not reached); LED 2 orange flicker = contact-lock active (AluLIFT). Full chart in the DL-6 user manual and AluLIFT maintenance manual.

Classic symptom: the door reaches the closed position then rises by ~15 cm on its own. Cause: the 'closed' limit-switch sensor isn't being reached or is misaligned. Procedure: (1) check signal at the control-box PCB; (2) adjust sensor position (A) laterally to align with cable slider (B), with both screw heads aligned. The sensor is a magnetic REED switch. To access the sensor, slide the rail cover.
SRCManuel-instruction-maintenance.mdl.287-291, 703-727
The system automatically detects under-voltage: LED 1 flashing red in operation means the input is too low. The box cuts the cycle to avoid running motors under-volted. Procedure: (1) check battery voltage (12 or 24 V depending on vehicle) and state of charge; (2) visually inspect battery-to-control-box cables for corrosion or breaks; (3) check the 30 A fuse. Poorly maintained or deeply discharged batteries may fail to run the system. On a trailer, plan an auxiliary supply when the tractor is disconnected.

Logística
01The technical manuals do not specify lead times. Confirm with the VanDOOR sales team based on configuration (insulated/dry variant, quantity, season). For critical spares (DL-8001254 blocks, A23 batteries), we recommend keeping a minimum workshop stock.
Garantía y soporte
01The technical documentation provided does not specify the commercial warranty duration (DL-6 nor AluLIFT). For the AluLIFT, VanDOOR supplies a CE Declaration of Conformity covering the door as delivered — not the warranty. Please confirm directly with your VanDOOR commercial contact or via info@vandoor.fr for exact terms (duration, parts/labour scope, exclusions).
