ABOUT US

FromDutchretrofittoaFrenchbrand

VanDOOR is the French branch of the Actuall Group (Netherlands). Twenty-three years after the first DoorLIFT DL-6 deployment, we design and assemble in Tinqueux the next generation of motorised roller shutter doors for commercial vehicles.

OUR STORY

VanDOOR is not a brand-new project. It is the outcome of a product proven in fleet since 2003 and of a French industrial platform built milestone by milestone.

From a retrofit system to an integrated European brand.

The DoorLIFT DL-6, designed by the Actuall Group in the Netherlands, has been running on European trucks since 2003. Retrofit architecture, CE-marked and RoHS-compliant on plastic parts, it laid the technical foundations for everything we manufacture today: 32 V drive, spring balancer, anti-crush sensor, shared electronics. Twenty-three years of field iteration, motor-unit rated 160,000 cycles / 5 years and a 34-reference service catalogue.

In 2022, the Actuall Group set up VanDOOR France in Tinqueux to move from a retrofit system to a complete product brand. In 2024, we commissioned our own assembly line. In March 2026, we launch the VanDOOR AluLIFT the first door engineered from scratch for the EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, full-aluminium, centred balancer, advanced anti-crush. 80% of components ship from our French workshops: CAD, machining, assembly, QC, spare-parts despatch.

OUR JOURNEY

A pivot trajectory, not a frozen heritage.

2003

First DoorLIFT DL-6 deployments

The Actuall Group industrialises and rolls out the DoorLIFT DL-6 on its first European trucks from its Dutch workshops. Retrofit architecture, 32 V drive, spring balancer, proprietary electronics. CE marking and RoHS compliance on plastic parts from year one — the technical baseline for the entire current range.

VanDOOR France founded

The Actuall Group establishes VanDOOR France in Tinqueux (51430), near Reims, as a subsidiary dedicated to the design and industrialisation of the next generation of doors. Goal: move from a Dutch retrofit product to a complete French brand with its own engineering office, workshop and service operation.

Spare-parts catalogue structured

Service catalogue formalised: 34 technical references, preventive maintenance schedule (3 / 6 / 12 months) published per reference, documentation translated into FR, EN, DE and NL. First contractual commitment to parts continuity for the full operating life of the door — not just two years after purchase.

French assembly line goes live

Tinqueux assembly line commissioned. 80% of components — aluminium cutting, forming, anodising, motor integration, wiring — now ship from our own workshops. In-house engineering office, dimensional checks and acoustic testing before every shipment.

Field essentials

Two essentials to know before anything else

Critical procedures to stay operational — emergency release and installer qualification.

  • External release procedure: (1) insert the DoorLIFT key into the lock cylinder at the centre of the intermediate or top panel, outside face; (2) turn the key 90° clockwise and firmly pull the lock and cable out of the cylinder — the system disengages; (3) reinsert the cable and cylinder into the door lock housing, then operate the door by hand. On the AluLIFT, an internal release is available: pull the red sleeve marked 'EMERGENCY DOOR RELEASE' to disengage the motor lever from inside the box.

  • VanDOOR does not perform installation itself. AluLIFT integration must be carried out exclusively by qualified, trained bodybuilders or integrators, in accordance with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and best practice. The integrator guarantees regulatory compliance of the final assembly, verifies correct operation, commissions the system, and supplies the end user with the manual and CE Declaration of Conformity for the integrated equipment.
